TRADITIONAL ACUPUNCTURE
Traditional acupuncture is a practice thousands of years old, using very thin needles inserted into specific points on the body. This practice is used to aid the body in healing, guiding blood flow and energy to afflicted areas, by addressing disharmonies within the body we can create balance within the body, mind and spirit to provide optimal healing conditions for many ailments including but not limited to, Insomnia, Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia, IBS, Anxiety, Depression and Addictions.
MASSAGE THERAPY
Massage therapy is a part of integrated medicine. It is a hands-on treatment where a trained therapist manipulates soft tissues including muscles, tendons, connective tissue and ligaments. This treatment relieves stress, eases muscle tension, and promotes overall well-being. Massage therapy aims to address physical and mental health concerns by manipulating soft tissues to promote circulation, relaxation and help the body to remove metabolic waste. Massage therapists take a holistic approach, considering the body as a whole and addressing underlying causes of pain or stress.
SPORTS MEDICINE ACUPUNCTURE (ALSO KNOWN AS DRY NEEDLING)
Sports Medicine Acupuncture is a form of intramuscular stimulation (IMS) that involves using orthopaedic assessment including range of motion and manual muscle testing to determine the cause of musculoskeletal pain. The treatment then uses thin needles inserted into the muscle tissue to stimulate a twitch response in the affected area, this treatment relaxes tight muscles, increases blood flow and decreases referred pain caused by musculoskeletal dysfunction. This style of treatment is highly effective in the treatment and management of body pain stemming from structural imbalances, muscle tension, joint dysfunction and injury.
Neurofeedback Therapy
Neurofeedback is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that teaches the brain to become more balanced and regulated. Using sensors placed on the scalp, we observe each individual’s unique brainwave activity in real time.
